what is downtown.gallery?
downtown.gallery is a simple idea: seek out the most compelling art around, and display it on the coolest corner in Downtown USA.
downtown.gallery consists of four art frames on the south wall of the historic Orpheum theater in downtown Joplin, Missouri. Every three months, a frame will be updated with new art, so that the entire installment is rotated every 12 months. We are a proud member of both Downtown Joplin Alliance and the Joplin Arts District.

downtown.gallery is taking the place of Joplin's iconic I Am Joplin Mural in an effort to expand Joplin's global involvement with the arts.
The I Am Joplin Mural was originally intended to be in place for 6 months before being relocated, but became so popular within the community that it remained in place for 9 years!
